Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Baby Memories handles information when you use our family-memory storage and sharing service. It should be read together with the Terms of Service. The statements below must be checked against the features and vendors actually deployed before publication.
1. Who uses the service?
The service is designed for a parent or other authorized adult to create and manage a family memory space. The account holder is responsible for protecting sign-in credentials, managing access permissions, and uploading or sharing only content they are authorized to use.
Photos and videos may contain children’s images, names, birth dates, or other information. Adults managing an account should consider a child’s privacy and best interests before uploading or sharing content.
2. Information that may be processed
- Account information: email address and/or phone number you provide for registration, sign-in, verification, or account recovery.
- Family profile information: display names, child profile details, privacy settings, and preferences you enter, if those features are available.
- User content: photos, videos, captions, dates, and related data you upload or create.
- Technical and security information: logs, IP address, browser/device type, and information needed for sessions, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting, to the extent actually collected by the system.
- Transaction information: only if payment features are introduced and you purchase a paid service. Specific payment terms will be provided before a transaction.
3. How information is used
- To create and manage accounts, family spaces, sign-in, and account recovery.
- To store, organize, display, and share photos/videos according to the family administrator’s settings and actions.
- To provide AI features currently available, such as caption or content assistance, when you choose to use them.
- To protect the service, detect abuse, troubleshoot issues, support users, and comply with valid legal obligations.
- To improve service quality and reliability using technical or statistical data where permitted and actually implemented.
4. Family albums and access
The service may support an administrator area for a parent or account administrator, plus sharing with relatives through a link and separate access credentials. Actual access depends on the features deployed and each family’s settings.
Administrators should keep passwords confidential, avoid sharing administrator credentials with unauthorized people, and revoke or change shared credentials when access is no longer desired. Links or passwords may be forwarded by recipients; do not share sensitive content if you cannot accept that risk.
If public discovery or community album features are introduced in the future, they will be governed by the choices and controls provided to administrators. We will update this policy and relevant consent flows before introducing new uses of data.
5. AI and service providers
Current or future AI features may process content you choose to submit to those features. If a feature sends photos, text, or other data to an external AI provider, we will disclose the relevant data, purpose, and provider before or when the feature is used, as required. Do not use an AI feature with sensitive content if you do not accept the disclosed processing.
Third-party hosting, email, security, analytics, or payment services will be used only when integrated. Before publication, we must list the providers actually used and review their data-processing terms.
6. Advertising and marketing
Creating an account does not automatically mean that you agree to receive marketing or allow your phone number to be matched with an advertising platform. If we introduce email/SMS marketing, personalized advertising, or customer-list uploads to advertising platforms, we will provide appropriate notice and separate choice/withdrawal mechanisms where required. Refusing marketing should not remove access to core features unrelated to marketing.
Private family photos/videos will not be used for advertising, sold, or used to train AI models independently of providing the service without an appropriate legal basis and any required permission.
7. Data sharing
Information may be shared when necessary: (a) with people you authorize; (b) with service providers processing data on our behalf; (c) to protect rights, safety, or service integrity; or (d) in response to lawful requests from competent authorities. We do not claim that data is never shared; any sharing must be consistent with the disclosed purpose and applicable law.
8. Storage and security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature and scale of the service to reduce unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Specific claims about encryption, password algorithms, storage regions, or certifications should only be made after they have been verified in the live system.
9. Retention and deletion requests
We retain information as needed to provide the service, protect security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can initiate an account deletion request in the app or through the account-deletion page on our website. We may verify your identity and ask for confirmation to prevent unauthorized deletion.
After verification, we will process the request within a reasonable period and keep you informed. If a waiting period or temporary retention period applies before permanent deletion, the exact period must be clearly shown before confirmation. A limited amount of data may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security purposes; backup copies may be removed according to a disclosed technical cycle. Deletion should cover user-generated content and associated data except for information that must be retained by law.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal data; withdraw consent for processing based on consent; object to or restrict certain processing; and submit complaints as permitted by law. Some requests may require identity verification or be limited where the law permits or requires retention.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
The service may use cookies or similar technologies needed for sign-in sessions, security, language, and core functions. If non-essential advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or tracking technologies are added, relevant information and choices will be provided as required. Only claim that third-party advertising tracking is not used after verifying the entire website, SDKs, and integrations.
12. Children’s privacy
The service is intended for adults managing family memories, not for children to create accounts independently. Adults uploading children’s photos/videos should have the appropriate rights or legal basis and consider the child’s best interests before sharing. If you believe a child’s data has been provided or shared inappropriately, contact us to request a review.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, law, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted here with a revision date. If a material change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will do so before applying that change.
